Suite 9 - One Bedroom Condo Rental in Playa del Carmen

In
keeping with my Caribbean theme, I purchased Platano constructed
furniture for the living room. The furniture is so unique, it
is woven banana leaves. I have a TV with cablevision for those
moments during my holiday that I want to keep up to date on
news items or just have the option to have a movie in the comfort
of my own suite. Thankfully the living room sofa opens up into
a double bed so I have the option to have friends staying with
me.
I
can bring my favourite CD’s and lap top for internet access
so I can stay in touch with family and friends. I love sending those
notes saying, “Wish you were here” knowing friends and
family are home bound in the rain, snow and sleet.
When
last in Puebla, I purchased Talavera bases to support the dining
table and bedroom end table. I covered them with 2 cm thick glass
so the colors of the vases are truly visible. I found four rattan
style chairs with cushions to compliment the dining room.
What
a relief to have an in-suite washer and dryer to eliminate trips
to the laundromat during my holidays.
My
kitchen comes with a large microwave, stainless stove with a large
oven capacity (Turkey anyone?), a large stainless steel refrigerator
and an in-line water filtration system. The ice-maker in the freezer,
a rare commodity in Playa, makes the margaritas that much closer
to reality.
The
central air conditioning is truly blessing on those hot and humid
nights. During the day I can either have the air conditioning on
or open the front door and patio deck door and have the fresh, clean
breeze off the Caribbean sweep through the apartment.
I
have large built in dressers and drawers and ample closet space.
Even if I visit only for one week, I find it a relief to be able
to unpack and to not live out of a suitcase.
My
three-piece bathroom has a large walk in shower. I have equipped
the bathroom with Talavera toiletry items that compliment the
sink and tiles.
When
I enter my suite, the view of the courtyard from above, and the
sound of the fountain and the greenery of the palm trees and plants
against the white building, is very soothing. Open my front door,
I see my large hand-carved mirror from Patzcuaro and in it I see
my face, stress free, bronze and happy.
My vacation always seems too short with the stress of my job and
every day existence. Coming to my suite at the Royal Palms allows
me the freedom from phones, pagers and e-mails that I need to help
keep what is important to my life in perspective.
Rental
is based on double occupancy.
