Loft 3 - One Bedroom Condo Rental in Playa del Carmen

What a view to wake up to… the sun shimmering on the placid waters of the fountain, in turn reflecting onto the leaves of the tropical garden.

I have furnished the apartment with cushions and artwork in keeping with the wonderful colors of Mexico. My supreme challenge with my barely functional Spanish was the furnishing of this apartment.

The sound of the courtyard fountain soothes and refreshes my soul. No matter where I sit in my apartment, whether it is upstairs in the mezzanine bedroom, or in the open plan living room/dining room, the stress of my life in the north is washed away.

My kitchen is compact but lacks for nothing in amenities. I have a stainless steel refrigerator, with ice cube making capacity to make those pina coladas that much more available. I have equipped the suite with an in-line water filtration system (ozone treatment). No more purchasing of drinking water. I have a counter top range, a large microwave and full size oven. I have equipped my suite with toaster, blender and coffee maker to allow your stay to simulate home.

Bromelias, the latest plant craze in playa, decorate my laundry room. What a delight to have an in-suite washer dryer to alleviate those trips to the Laundromat while on holidays.

The living room sofa is in an ell-shape which allows for either guests or family to join us in the suite. I have equipped the suite with single sheets and blankets for this very occasion. The full bathroom downstairs off the dining room is also equipped with a shower. I have installed my cablevision with both national and international stations in the living room, along with the DVD player. Even on holidays its nice to have the option of keeping up to date with world news.

The central air conditioning is truly a blessing on those hot and humid nights. During the day I can either have the air conditioning on or open the front door and patio deck door and have the fresh, clean breeze off the Caribbean sweep through the apartment.

My private patio on the ground level courtyard is enhanced with the presence of a wall fountain that I share with the suite next door. Happy hour couldn’t be more relaxing, surrounded by the sounds of the fountains.

The stair-case ascending to the mezzanine level where I have a king size bed is dominated by all the light coming in from the two story clerestory windows. I have installed a television set upstairs which has cablevision (English stations) so we can watch TV from bed.

In keeping with my Mexican theme, I have purchased Talavera tiles, sinks and bathroom accessories for both bathrooms. The en-suite bathroom off the master bedroom features a Jacuzzi tub.

The moments I love the most are at night when the soft ambient lights of the courtyard cause pleasant shadows and ambiance.

No matter where I sit in my suite, the view of the sky from above and the water below soothe and comfort.

Rental is based on double occupancy.
